18/11/22 – Shiny new parts

Today was quite a productive day, despite only working on the car for around 2 hours, although I did get a hand from my housemate which always makes the job easier.

The first job completed today was the removal of the lower ball joint from the lower control arm and the removal of the tie rod. after those were removed I could re-install the knuckle in the strut tower, and place the axle back in the knuckle. Then the new ball joint and tie rod were installed.

We then removed the old brake line and installed the Braided line this was an easy install 2 clips and 1 bolt was all that attached the line. I then installed the new rotor as the old ones were warped and the wheel hub on top of that. We had a few issues pushing the brake piston back into the caliper, so that’s where it sits for today, mostly assembled

Below is a photo of all the old parts from the RH side

All in all a pretty short post for today however I plan to have the RH side done tomorrow so I can move on to the LH side, hopefully now since I know a few tricks it should be a lot easier
